Lead Like a Boss, Rest Like a Queen
✅ Black women are the most educated demographic in the U.S.
✅ Black women are the fastest-growing group of entrepreneurs.
✅ Black women shape culture, drive industries, and build communities.
And yet, Black women are also among the most overworked, underpaid, and overlooked. So, how do we change the game?.
For Black Women Leaders & Contributors:
Take Up Space Without Guilt. Say NO more often. Protect your peace like it’s your intellectual property—because it is.
Rest Without Apology. You don’t have to “earn” self-care. It’s a right, not a luxury. Prioritize your health, your sleep, and your joy.
Reclaim Your Time (Shoutout to Maxine Waters). Set boundaries. Decline unpaid labor. Demand respect.
For Allies: How to Support Black Women (For Real)
Advocate for Pay Equity. If you have influence, push for salary transparency and fair wages.
Amplify Black Women’s Voices. Don’t speak over us—pass the mic and give credit where it’s due.
Step Up in the Workplace. Black women shouldn’t be the only ones calling out racism, bias, and inequity. Use your privilege for good.
Don’t Just Post—Take Action. Likes and retweets are cool, but sponsorship, mentorship, and investment are better.
This month, honor Black women by valuing them in authentic ways.
Rights, Risks & Resilience
Being a woman in America right now requires more than ambition—it requires armor. As we step into another pivotal year under a complex and contentious presidential administration, women’s rights are under active pressure, and many of the wins we've fought for are being slowly rolled back or reinterpreted. Whether you're leading in the boardroom, raising families, organizing on the frontlines, or simply trying to exist in peace —the weight of being a woman in 2025 is real.
This article is about naming the risks and reclaiming your power.
